Setup the QuickBooks Connection : QuickBooks Backup

QuickBooks Backup

The first step is to create a backup of your QuickBooks data. Detailed, step-by-step instructions are available through the QuickBooks help menu.  Backup steps will vary with the different versions of QuickBooks.

1.	In QuickBooks, select Back Up… from the File menu.

In QuickBooks Pro 2006, you may select Backup from the File menu.

In QuickBooks Pro 2009, select Save Copy or Backup… from the File menu.

2.	From the QuickBooks Backup screen, select the backup option Disk.

Click OK.

Make note of the filename and location where the backup is saved. You may also want to save the backup file to CD or another location other than the computer on which the backup was made.
